This session is designed as a book discussion. Participants are expected to have read "My Stroke of Insight" by Jill Bolte Taylor, prior to attending. "Stroke of Insight" documents the journey of Taylor, a Harvard Neuroscientist, and her remarkable recovery from a life changing stroke. During the session, participants will learn the basic mechanisms and resultant neurological injuries caused by strokes, engage in a guided discussion, and learn the value of perseverance in the face of challenges.
