An introductory workshop exploring potential career paths for young musicians. Topics covered will include:

• Identifying what you’re good at, what you’re passionate about, what the community needs, and where they can overlap to provide meaningful work
• Traditional career paths o Orchestra, operas, other established performing tracks o Teaching: college, studio, school
• Nontraditional career paths o Starting your own organization  Mission statements, objectives, choosing a marketable path o Using case studies to explore musicians making a living via nontraditional career paths
