Many musicians spot a need in the community and choose to start their own business, studio, organization, or event to meet this need. This workshop will explore potential avenues for a “start your own” mindset, beginning with a directed brainstorming session and moving into the logistical steps for getting started. Avenues examined will include:

• Events
• Concert series
• Ensembles (new music? specialized?)
• Music studios (teaching/recording)
• Other avenues determined in the brainstorming session
